Cargo In Latin America Is Growing Significantly
Gol, Tam And Avianca Investigate Cargo

The economies of Latin America are all on the upswing and that upswing is contributing to the growth of cargo in the region. Exports and imports are increasing as well. Recent announcements from several carriers getting into the cargo business support the growth. GOL is among those who have filed for authority to offer lower deck cargo on its flights between Brazil and Argentina. Other airlines looking into cargo as a means of increasing aircraft profitability are Avianca and TAM. The industry role model is LAN which generates close to 40% of its revenues from air cargo both lower deck and dedicated B767-300 freighters. www.avgroupinc.com
