Air Cargo Americas is going forward as scheduled. The conference
will begin Wednesday at 9:00 a.m., and the trade show will
open at 10:45 a.m.
Yesterday, we set the show and the registration to facilitate
the move-in of our exhibitors scheduled for Tuesday (8:00 a.m. – 4:30
p.m.). For those companies needing to move-in past this time
because of scheduling difficulties, please advise us as at

Update – Saturday, October 22,
2005
As of this morning, we continue to hold with our earlier decision
to go forward with the show. Current projections from a variety
of sources indicate that the storm will be out of Florida by
2:00 a.m. Tuesday.
We are setting up the show at 12:00 noon today, so we will
be able to facilitate the move-in of exhibitors on Tuesday,
October 25 by which time the storm will have left Florida.
We expect to open Air Cargo Americas 2006 as planned at 9:00
a.m. on Wednesday, October 26th.
If you have any questions we will be in the office until noon
today. The phone number is 305-871-7910.
Notice to Exhibitors and Visitors:
The World Trade Center Miami, Miami International Airport and
the Chairman of Air Cargo Americas 2006 have reviewed the current
situation with Hurricane Wilma and have decided to go forward
with the show. As of 10:00 a.m. today, Hurricane Wilma is projected
to hit Florida on Monday afternoon.
All of us in Miami are staying abreast of the forecasts by reviewing
the updates issued by the U.S. Coast Guard, National Hurricane
Center, located in Miami, as well as the weather updates which
appear on CNN.com. and the Weather Channel.
Miami and its businesses have considerable knowledge and experience
in responding to hurricanes. We will continue to assess the forecasts
on an hourly basis. We will post daily updates on the show at
approximately 10:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time.
We all hope that Hurricane Wilma will not greatly impact
our show, and that the show will go forward. For your information,
we are setting the show tomorrow to facilitate our exhibitor’s
move-in to the Sheraton Convention Center.
Our very best.
Charlotte Gallogly, President
World Trade Center Miami
